Morgarothian Calendar
The Morgarothian Calendar (M.C.) is the standard calendar for all of The Expanse, despite its being established by a human, Tysasyrol Morgaroti, from the neighboring continent of Darriniw. Morgaroti intended to create new human colonies in entirely non-human The Expanse, and desired the colonies to count from the year they were created.
M.C. 0 is the year that Morgaroti first crossed the land bridge into The Expanse.
M.C. 1 is the year that Kun Darrow was founded just inside the border of The Expanse.
The current year in the Dark Druid RP is M.C. 1383.
100 years later when it was realized that a full year was actually 365 days, a council consisting of Kun Darrow noblemen and delegates from the major native races of The Expanse voted to add the extra day to the beginning of the eighth month, Melyrn, because it was the "middle-month". Unlike all the other months which start their numbering at 1 (i.e. Balesia 1, Balesia 2), Melyrn begins with 0 (Melyrn 0), which is "Middle Day" and divides the year in half.

Divisions of the Calendar Year
Based loosely on the Dawar Calendar used in Darriniw, Morgaroti's original colonial calendar grouped 364 days of the year into 14 months, each with 26 days. When Morgaroti tried to impose Darriniwan month-names on the native races of The Expanse, he was met with vehement rejection.
